Dr. Taylor graduated from the mini-MBA program at Kellogg Business School of Northwestern University in 1999. He subsequently served as the Illinois Market Medical Director for United Healthcare for 2 years, prior to rejoining Advocate. Dr. Taylor has been selected as a Top Doctor by Chicago Magazine in 2012 and 2014 as well as by US News. During his years in the health plan world, he volunteered for several years at Community Health, a free clinic for people with no health insurance. For this work he was awarded WGN-TV’s Unsung Heroes Award. Dr. Taylor has led teams that have won awards from the American Lung Association and the Illinois Maternal & Child Health Coalition. He is on national advisory boards to the University of California Health Benefits Review Program, the Choosing Wisely campaign of the American Board of Internal Medicine Foundation, and is a national advisor to Doctor On Demand.
