Dr. Prentiss Taylor

Dr. Prentiss Taylor M.D. is board certified in Preventive Medicine as well as in Internal Medicine. Dr. Taylor is an honors graduate of Harvard College and of Harvard Medical School. He trained at the University of Chicago Hospitals and at Rush University Medical Center for his postgraduate years. After working for Advocate in the 1990s, Prentiss was recruited to Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois, where he worked for over 6 years. He was promoted to Medical Director for Care Management, responsible for 1.2 million people in the Blue Cross PPO programs.

Dr. Taylor graduated from the mini-MBA program at Kellogg Business School of Northwestern University in 1999. He subsequently served as the Illinois Market Medical Director for United Healthcare for 2 years, prior to rejoining Advocate. Dr. Taylor has been selected as a Top Doctor by Chicago Magazine in 2012 and 2014 as well as by US News. During his years in the health plan world, he volunteered for several years at Community Health, a free clinic for people with no health insurance. For this work he was awarded WGN-TV’s Unsung Heroes Award. Dr. Taylor has led teams that have won awards from the American Lung Association and the Illinois Maternal & Child Health Coalition. He is on national advisory boards to the University of California Health Benefits Review Program, the Choosing Wisely campaign of the American Board of Internal Medicine Foundation, and is a national advisor to Doctor On Demand.

This app is amazing. I'm currently using it for counseling and being able to be in the comfort of my home and find a doctor that works for me is amazing! I would recommend this app to EVERYONE.

I had a minor eye injury and the doctor was able to look at a photo of it and evaluate it and prescribe me everything I needed. My son had sores all over his mouth and throat and within ten minutes of me seeing them for the first time we had a diagnosis from the doctor. No getting him out and driving and waiting. It was awesome.

Awesome App! My daughter had an ear infection, which she used to get all the time, so it was nice to be seen, have medicine, prescribed, and all in the comfort of our home! The doctor had an incredible bedside manner!

This is the best app ever! So easy and great doctors! Being a stay at home mom it's hard to be sick it was so easy to just use my phone and talk to a doctor so I could get back to normal!! Every mom needs this app!!

I had a bad earache and couldn't get it to see my Dr that day and I didn't want my earache to just get worse while I waited to get an appt. I used the app and had a video visit with a Dr just an hour later. This is such a great thing when you feel crumby and don't want to get out and drive to the docs office! It was soooo fast and easy to use and my appointment took only a few minutes.
